Infectious Global Fusion
Brent Gunter
The infectious global fusion Brent Gunter creates on-stage blends equal parts world and jazz with an array of wild Middle Eastern rhythms and an infusion of flamenco.
Even the most gently rolling of Gunter’s performances is steeped with a rich percussive undertow of exotic world percussion.
Driven by passionate, romantic performances, Gunter’s music has received critical acclaim and significant airplay on “Echoes,” John Diliberto’s nationally syndicated NPR radio program that focuses on world and ambient music.
This past year, his recordings have been a mainstay in the Top Ten on Myspace’s Flamenco chart, peaking at #1. They also caught on with numerous college and terrestrial radio stations.
Gunter prefers to let his guitar music speak for itself. Performing frequently, he has shared music with his growing fans, based everywhere from Northwest venues like the 600-seat Aladdin Theatre, across the western states and to larger halls like the 2300-seat Kiva Auditorium in his hometown of Albuquerque.
