For the 2012 and 2013 Exhibit Season
The Columbia Art Gallery invites artists and artist groups to submit proposals for a featured show during the 2012 and 2013 exhibit seasons.
2012 Exhibit Season - Nov. 15, 2010
2013 Exhibit Season - Jan. 15, 2011
Columbia Center for the Arts is a 10,000 square foot building located in the heart of historic downtown Hood River, and was beautifully restored in 2005.
Possible exhibition space includes the 800 square foot Lobby and the designated "show space" inside the Gallery (approximately 425 square feet).
Exhibits rotate every 4 weeks and feature a mix of local emerging artists and artists from the Columbia Gorge region. Artists are chosen by the Show Selection Committee of the Columbia Center for the Arts, who meet twice yearly. (Please note deadlines above).
Please submit a description of your proposal for an exhibit. The exhibit must feature new work created for the show.
The Committee will evaluate proposals based on a variety of factors including compatibility with our mission, funding opportunities, and curatorial engagement.
In order to get a sense of the proposal, please submit 10 – 12 images of recent work in high resolution tiff or jpeg format on CD-ROM, accompanied by a printed listing of the title, medium, year and size of each work. Please include a resume and biography.
If proposing a group show, include the above materials for all artists involved. If proposing for an installation or performance, please also include a statement outlining your spatial and material needs.
Materials may be mailed to:

You will receive a response approximately two weeks from the time of the Show Selection Committee meeting.
