Every year, our talented local and regional artists create smaller pieces just in time for the gift-giving season. Find affordable treasures and remember that the artist who created the work benefits directly from the sale!

Artist Reception

Join us for the festive artist reception on Friday, Dec.3 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Complimentary dessert and hot cider will be served; beer and wine will also be available.

Help a Local Artist - Shop Local!

Columbia Art Gallery manager Catherine Kiewit is encouraging folks to be mindful that these hard economic times are also hard on artists. “We all should intentionally make a choice to shop locally this holiday season and support the individuals and community businesses that make The Gorge what it is. Besides,” she points out, “It is much more sustainable and environmentally friendly to do shopping within 15 miles of your home.”

“I make a point of shopping locally and specifically at the Columbia Art Gallery because it really is a gift that continues to give,” Kiewit explains. “The artist who created the work benefits from the sale, as does our non-profit art gallery, and the recipient can feel good knowing their gift will help sustain the good work we hope to continue to do in this community.”

Jewelry, Ornaments, Crafts ... and more!

In addition to featuring the Small Works ArtShow, the gallery will also exhibit a wide range of art items that can serve as special gifts. Along with new paintings and sculptures, there will be beautiful crafts available for purchase. Exquisitely made holiday ornaments will be for sale created from various media including glass, ceramic, silver, and fiber. A range of jewelry and other wearable art will be among the newest additions to the holiday display.
