Finally, a chance to appreciate drawing as an art form. While drawing is generally understood to be the basic skill needed to become a good artist, it's seldom appreciated as an art form unto itself. This show gives you a chance to reconsider whether it's an art form in its own right or not.

The 1st annual "Yeaton Ohana Tour" Featuring renown slack key and American fingerstyle guitarist Chris Yeaton, along with Adam Werner, known for his impressive "slap & tap" percussive guitar stylings — what a treat this show is sure to be!

Show starts at 7:30pm, with a welcome song by local favorites The Hapa Hillbillies, featuring Ben Bonham, Larry Wyatt, Rick Hulett, Ronnie Ontiveros and Dennis Williams.

Commemorative Poetry Celebration

A poetry reading in celebration of William Stafford, Oregon's most famous poet, will take place at 2pm. Beginning with a few featured readers, the event then opens for those in the audience who wish to share their favorite Stafford poem. Free. Starts at 2pm.

The Passion of Anna
Film and Psychoanalytical Presentation

January 20 & 27

Here's an opportunity to see one of the most noteworthy films of our time, by Ingmar Bergman, along with a rare opportunity to hear a psychoanalytical exploration of the filmmaker and film.

The psychoanalytical discussion, by Hood River psychiatrist Daniel McCabe, M.D., takes place on January 20th at 7:00pm.

The film will be shown at CCA on January 27th at 7:30pm, with a short lecture before the film beginning at 7pm.

This FREE event is for anyone interested in babies and birth. The weekend includes Saturday workshops and the movie:

The Business of Being Born, on Friday and Saturday, 1/22 & 23, at 7:30pm.

Topics to be covered include what our health care system is doing to address the the fact that the the U.S. has the 2nd highest infant mortality rate in the developed world.

Auditions for Two Great Plays

January 16 & 17

After many requests, The Vagina Monologues is coming to Columbia Center for the Arts a second time, and will be directed by Judie Hanel. Auditions will be held 1/16 at 2pm and 1/17 at 5pm. Click for more info about The Vagina Monologues.


February 21 & 22
