Photographs of the Columbia River Gorge, 1867 - 1957

Wild Beauty is both a book and an exhibit currently on display at the Portland Art Museum. They offer an enlightening and awe-inspiring look into the history and early photography of the Gorge.

On Wednesday, December 10th, Terry Toedtemeier, Portland Art Museum''s curator of photography, and John Laursen, co-author of the exquisitely produced large-format book, will make a stunning slide presentation in the theatre of the Columbia Center for the Arts. Learn about the exhibit and book and, see some of the acutal images they worked from.

NOTE:  On Thursday, November 7, there will be a book reading by the authors at the Hood River Library.

Death and the Maiden

Play by Ariel Dorfman, directed by Judie Hanel. Auditions will be on Sunday, January 11 at 3pm and January 12th and 13th at 7pm at Columbia Center for the Arts in the studio.


One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Novel by Ken Kesey, play by Dale Wasserman, directed by Lynda Dallman. This is a play to benefit non-profits. Auditions on Sunday, January 25, 3 pm-5:30, and Monday, Tuesday, January 27 & 27 from 6:30-9pm.
