Worker is a remarkable story of an extraordinary
woman who was hired in 1887 to teach Helen Keller,
a 7-year-old child who had been left blind and deaf
after an illness as an infant. |

Film Series, every fourth Wednesday. |

This
1966 French film is set in a small town in France
near the end of World War I. A Scottish soldier
is sent to disarm a bomb left by the Germans
in their retreat. The locals flee, except for
the cheerful inmates who escape the insane asylum
and unwittingly take over the town. They coronate
the Scottish soldier the King of Hearts, as he
tries to find the bomb before it goes off. |
