CAST announces that AUDITIONS for three female roles for “The Vagina Monologues,” will be held on Sun, May 6 at 1 p.m., Monday May 7 and Tuesday May 8 at 7 p.m. at the Columbia Center for the Arts, 3rd & Cascade, HR. Show dates are July 19, 20, 21, 22; 27 & 28. This powerful, award-winning play by Eve Ensler has been translated into over 30 languages, and has sparked a global movement to stop violence against women and girls.

Soroptomist International of Hood River is partnering with CAST for this production, and Judie Hanel will direct. Successful candidates for the roles will be women with enough life-experience and maturity to handle the sometimes graphic and sensitive material; anyone who wants to read the script should contact Judie Hanel at 386-6221, a week before the auditions.
