In June “Elements of Glass” hosted by the Columbia Art Gallery will feature 14 local artists as well as other glass artists of the Northwest. This show is sponsored by Julie Burton, Mark and Ben Dane.

FIRST FRIDAY OPENING:
June 1, 2007 from 6-8pm.
Columbia Center for the Arts,
215 Cascade, Hood River.
(541) 387-8877.

Glass About Town:

Throughout June the Gorge will sparkle with the finest glass art the Northwest has to offer.

Over 30 businesses in Hood River, White Salmon, and The Dalles will be showcasing glass art created by regional glass artists. Pick up a brochure listing locations at the Columbia Center for the Arts or at participating businesses.

Local and international glass artists have been partnered with Gorge businesses by Linda Steider, founder of the Gorge chapter of OGG (Oregon Glass Guild). Linda carefully matched each merchant’s location and décor to the style and esthetics of participating artists.

Glass Month in the Gorge was coordinated by volunteers from the Gorge Chapter of the Oregon Glass Guild, a non-profit group of glass artists dedicated to helping each other advance their skills and promote glass art.
