About the Workshop
This workshop is designed to help painters of all levels, from
beginner on up. Focus will be on organizing and simplifying your subject and on making key decisions that will enable you to successfully paint the landscape.
Painting will be centered around the magnificent views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams and the Columbia River National Scenic area. It starts with painting on location in the beautiful Hood River valley.
Demos and critiques will be given.
About the Instructor
Eric Jacobsen is is an award-winning Plein Air painter, with a strong academic foundation in the principles of
painting from the Lyme Academy, in Old Lyme, CT.
Jacobsen's landscape paintings will be featured in the September issue of Southwest Art Magazine. His work can be found in several galleries throughout the US, including:

Things to Bring
Outdoor easel, painting supplies, water, sun screen,
lunch. We will do many small sketches, so bring 8 small canvas boards. (8"x10" or 9"x12"s). Eric will send you a more complete supply list when you sign up.
