Award-winning artists Judy Hoiness from Bend, and Lori Latham from Portland, will be presenting abstract landscapes with a familiarity reminiscent of a wide range of landscapes in the Gorge.
Join them for the show opening and reception on Friday July 6 from 6 - 8 p.m., and for the Art Talk they'll be hosting.

This powerful, award-winning play by Eve Ensler has been translated into over 25 languages, and has been performed in theatres worldwide -- including sold-out runs on Broadway and on London's West End. It has sparked a global movement to stop violence against women and girls.
The CAST performing arts group and Soroptomists of Hood River are partnering on this project in Hood River.
The show will be directed by Judie Hanel, with Maureen Higgins and JoAnn Harris as Production Coordinators. The stars of the show are Ani Sinclair, Desiree Amyx-Mackintosh and Sarah Oaks.

Sternwheeler / Portage Days Festival |

The Columbia Gorge Lions Club is continuing the tradition of the Sternwheeler/Portage Days Festival for the 32nd year. The event will be held July 13-15, 2007 at the Cascade Locks Marine Park and will focus on art, history and nature.
Local art and hand crafts are featured, in addition to local food vendors and local organizations.

Quilt Show: A Passage in Time |

July 14th and 15th, 2007 marks the second annual quilt show for the Bridge of the Gods quilters, sponsored by the
Columbia Gorge Lioness. The Show will be held in the Cascade Locks City Hall Gym and will honor local quilter Pat Power.
