What the Play Is About
First produced in 1938, the Pulitzer-Prize winning Our Town has become an American stage treasure, and it is Thornton Wilder's most renowned and frequently performed play.
Set at the turn of the 20th century, the play reveals the ordinary lives of the people of Grover's Corners, New Hampshire. A character known as the Stage Manager narrates an immortal tale of daily life in this small town --- a community that experiences love, marriage, and death. |
