PROD (Promoting Responsible Ownership of Dogs) is a small all-volunteer, non-profit organization, serving communities throughout the Columbia River Gorge region. Our programs, which have been in operation since 1996, are made possible solely through the support of local donors and foundation grants.
What We Do
PROD volunteers work with responsible citizens throughout the community to:
Reduce the number of unwanted litters of kittens and
puppies by offering financial assistance for spaying
and neutering to anyone in need. |
Educate children and adults on how to improve the
relationship between families and their pet companions. |
Transport adoptable stray canines to a local shelter for
adoption. |
Make money available for medical needs, to people who find or rescue an injured stray dog or cat. |
| |
Results
Our efforts have resulted in the alteration of more than 4,500
animals, the adoption of hundreds of stray animals, and the
education of countless children and adults.
